On 19 August 2017 we celebrated the 40th anniversary of the formation of NALAG by getting together at the Dubbo RSL. We were fortunate to have 2 special guests on the night - Barry Gobbe, a paramedic who was one of the first to attend the Granville disaster and Meredith Knight whose father was a casualty. The annual NALAG Walk Towards Hope for Suicide Prevention and Awareness was held on 9th September in Dubbo.

In 2015, NALAG introduced an new event for Grief Awareness Month (August), we held it agian in 2017 with great sucess with double the amount of entrants participating. The themes for 2017 were Anniversary, Loss, Togetherness and Tribute.
