Pregnancy and Infant Loss | 1 Day Workshop 

Workshop Overview  

In this one‑day workshop, you’ll explore the emotional, relational, and cultural complexities of pregnancy and infant loss. You’ll learn how to support grieving parents with sensitivity, trauma‑aware practice, and confidence. The workshop helps you understand different types of perinatal loss, recognise diverse grief responses, communicate with compassion, and provide support that honours each family’s unique experience. You’ll also gain practical tools, grounding strategies, and insights into working respectfully with families from diverse backgrounds and identities.

  • Communicate sensitively and confidently with bereaved families
  • Support clients from diverse cultural, spiritual, and family backgrounds
  • Use practical tools such as grounding, reflective listening, and gentle inquiry
  • Understand boundaries, scope of practice, and referral pathways
  • Integrate learning into professional practice while maintaining self‑care

Mandy is a registered clinical Counsellor and Supervisor and has worked in the field of grief and loss for 20 years, working in a range of counselling roles, including palliative care, coronial counselling, maternal loss, victims of violent crime, and co-founded Canberra Grief Centre.  Mandy also facilitates workshops and retreats focussing on grief, loss and change.
