Unspeakable Grief | Domestic Violence + Grief - ONLINE

You are invited to attend this 3 hour workshop looking at the impacts of domestic violence through the lens of grief.  

Key topics we will cover:

  • Domestic violence - understanding the different types of abuse
  • Trauma and grief - exploring the impacts of both and the interplay between them
  • How to support those who have experienced domestic violence in relation to grief and trauma

What will we do in this workshop?

Provide a supported space for expression of grief
The workshop will provide a supported space for the expression of participants’ grief experience, increase self-awareness, support emotional healing and build resilience.

Increase understanding of the impacts of loss and grief
During the workshop we will provide information on the impacts of loss and grief, the types of losses,  identify personal strengths and explore recovery strategies using creative measures like photography.

Explore Photography
Participants will use cameras to explore their surroundings. Participants will then be invited to share  their selected images, and engage guided discussion that helps translate  feelings into words.

Who is this workshop for?

  • Anyone who has experienced a loss (including death, separation, divorce, miscarriage, job loss, pet, community)
  • Anyone working with those who may have experienced a loss or are grieving
  • Anyone supporting someone who is grieving
